As the summer winds down and we get closer to breast cancer awareness month in October, a stream of fundraising and community events are beginning to pop up.

Now is a great time to start prepping and planning a fundraising event for the cause.

Fundraising for Susan G. Komen has never been easier!

Through creating an impact project of your choice, such as starting a lemonade stand or workplace fundraiser, you can help us support life-saving breast cancer research, treatment, education and community health programs.

Starting a More than Pink™ Project is great for birthdays, weddings, workplaces, schools, or any individual or group looking to fundraise for Komen Northern & Central California.

We appreciate any efforts to help fundraise as we work to reach our bold goal of reducing the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50% in the U.S. by 2026.

Homes 4 the Cure

There is a New way to buy or sell a home in the Sacramento area

Recently, Lyon Real Estate Agent James Farrell sold his biggest property and donated $3,700 from the transaction to Susan G. Komen Northern & Central California.

As part of James' Homes 4 the Cure self-driven initiative, he donates 10% of his earnings to the local affiliate.

"Ten percent (10%) of my commissions received as a licensed real estate agent with Lyon Real Estate will be donated to Susan G. Komen Northern & Central California in the name of the homeowner or buyer I represent in any transaction that closes escrow."

The majority of James' business comes from word of mouth, so be sure to reach out or visit him online here, to learn more about available homes in the Homes 4 the Cure program.

We applaud and appreciate James' tremendous efforts to help find a cure.
